Trees still falling, deforestation continues at alarming rates
Dude Why Not Plant a Tree on your birthday…..??
We all know about this climate change, global warming, melting glaciers, rising temperatures.. but is anything being done to stop it. May be we have just started , aren’t we? Basically the focus of this write up is about a report by United Nations’ FAO on deforestation which says – “World deforestation decreases, but remains alarming in many countries”. FAO's Global Forest Resources Assessments are published every five years. More than 900 specialists from 178 countries were involved in the Global Forest Resources Assessment 2010. The full report of this Assessment will be released in October 2010.

How To Feed The Future? - A Promising Research on Rice
At the current growth rate the global population is predicted to reach 10 billion by 2050. To feed this many people, food production worldwide will need to double during a period when climate change will worsen, fossil fuels will dwindle, and water availability will become unpredictable.
And in addition it is a well established fact that More than one billion people sleep with Empty Stomachs (A Hungry Planet Of Billion People). So it is definitely a challenge fotr humanity. But our history of existence says, we can fight it out...

Nepal Government holds Cabinet Meeting on Mt. Everest
Mt. Everest the highest point on earth , which many adventure enthusiasts try to conquer every year is also one of the geological hot spots with regular tectonic activity and where evidences of damage by climate change are quiet apparently visible .
To highlight the impact of climate change and to attract the attention of world leaders, one week before the Copenhagen Summit on Climate change, Nepal government held a cabinet meeting on the Mount Everest .
