India Scores in the Polio Battle - removed from WHO Polio List
India marked a major success in its battle against polio Saturday by being removed from the World Health Organization's list of countries plagued by the crippling disease.India, which has been polio-free for over a year now, was on Saturday taken off the list of polio endemic countries by the World Health Organisation.
This announcement was made by Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad at the polio summit 2012 here in the presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba - No More
Spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba, who was hospitalized on March 28 following problems related to heart and respiration, passed away on Sunday morning.
Former Supreme Court chief justice and Sathya Sai Central Trust member PN Bhagwati announced in a press release that Sai Baba breathed his last at 7.28am.

Atlast after 63 years of Independence Indian Children get Right To Education
Better late than never - this is what we can say about the recently approved Right To Education bill. India got independence on 15th Aug, 1947 and today is 3rd april , 2010 means it took 63 years for our democratic politicians to introduce a bill which deserves to be the first bill of Independent India. Any how at least now a positive move has been made and it is highly commendable.
