India Closer To Developing it's own "Eye in the Sky"
India amid challenging neighborhood, already participated in four wars with Pakistan, including one undeclared war and one war with China since the partition in 1947, as well as many border skirmishes and military stand-offs. Additionally, India has accused Pakistan of engaging in proxy wars by providing military and financial assistance to violent non-state actors. So India is pulling all it's resources to update and to equip it's defence forces with the Modern warfare. India is following a two prong approach, buying from the world players through defence deals with various countries and producing in-house by developing the skill bank and industry. The indiginizing effort now a days gained good momentum even though not up to the required extent. LCA tejas , Kaveri Engine , Medium Combat Air Crafts etc. are at various stages of development.
In th urge to develop advance technology in-house , India has moved a step closer to developing it's own Airborne Early Warning and Control System

India Scores in the Polio Battle - removed from WHO Polio List
India marked a major success in its battle against polio Saturday by being removed from the World Health Organization's list of countries plagued by the crippling disease.India, which has been polio-free for over a year now, was on Saturday taken off the list of polio endemic countries by the World Health Organisation.
This announcement was made by Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad at the polio summit 2012 here in the presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Micro-pilot less Lakshya successfully test flown
Indigenously developed micro-light and pilot-less target aircraft Lakshya-1 was successfully test flown from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur near Balasore on Tuesday.
'Lakshya-1, fitted with an advanced digitally controlled engine was successfully test flown at about 11.40 AM to check the validity of its engine and duration enhancement, defence sources said."It is a routine trial by the users," the sources said.

India's Own UAV Rustum I successfully tested 5th time
Indigenously designed and developed RUSTOM-1 made 5th successful Flight on 11th November, while flying at an altitude of 2300 ft AGL (above ground level) & at a speed 100 Knots during 25 minute of cruise near Hosur. It may be noted that this Medium Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (MALE - UAV) is developed by DRDO with Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) Bangalore as the nodal laboratory. It had its maiden flight in 2010.

Global Warming/ Climate Change the buzz words that were circulating since the last two decades with scientists warning of rising sea levels and extinction of species couldn't turn in to much action. There are still quiet considerable percentage of policy makers who dunk the climate change prophecies. Many researchers are being on both ends. But it requires no Phd to understand that the quality of life is deteroirating inspite of greatest scientific achievements. People say that History repeats - and it proved to be true on many occassions . Now the issue is a research by MIT geeks that Global warming killed 90 % of the species on this earth some 252 million years ago. ..

India's Longest Train Service Unveiled
Who else can play the great role as integrator in this Vast country except Indian Railways? In it's venture as the BIG DOST of this country men Indian Railways unvieled on 19th November the longest train journey of the country which counts as the 8th longest in the world..
Union Minister of Development of North Eastern Region Paban Singh Ghatowar flagged off the inaugural train run of the Vivek Express at Dibrugarh station , a new weekly train that now boasts the longest rail route in the country – 4,286 km all the way from Dibrugarh in upper Assam, to Kanyakumari at the southern tip of Tamil Nadu, that will be covered in 82.30 hours. in the presence of Assam Revenue Minister Prithibi Majhi and General Manager of North East Frontier Railway Keshav Chandra.

India's Most Advanced Missile Agni IV Launched Successfully
India today successfully test fired the most advanced long range missile system Agni-4 today(15th november,2011). The missile was launched from a Road Mobile System at 9.00 AM from Wheelers’ Island off the coast of Odisha. The missile followed its trajectory with a range of more than 3000 Kms, in a text book fashion, attained a height of about 900 kms and reached the pre-designated target in the international waters of Bay of Bengal. All mission objectives were fully met. All the systems functioned perfectly till the end encountering the re-entry temperatures of more than 3000⁰C.
