Real One Player
Standing to its name it is really the Real One, it trademark format is Real Media (.rm) . It is one of
the most compressed media formats. The Real media was very popular before the FLV(flash video format). In addition to Real Media it plays almost all
known formats. Recent versions also play the FLV format, FLV format is used by You Tube. And if you want to capture the you tube video, then you can
play the video in Real one player. There is a paid version of real one player. In paid version one can convert tghe media formats. It is a must media
player to have on your desktop and windows media player is the least preferred one

VLC media Player
VLC player is a free software. It is Video Lan plater. It can play almost any format on earth. It plays DVD format with ease. Another cool thing is you can reduce the speed of play i mean you can player your video at 2X speed or 1/2 X speed etc.. really cool. It can also be used as a streaming server. M Player
It is free player under GPL opensource software.It is distributed in form of codecs and binaries. A very great player if you can configure everything correctly. Click Here to go the site
