 In the digital era, where cameras have become a house hold thing , many people are now capable of covering breaking news. So the way we are getting to know the news is changing day by day. We can experience it in elections, natural disasters, human disasters. Almost any event happens in todays world has a chance of getting  up covered . Now a days when we search for some burning issues on Google it shows latest news from pouplar news agencies like BBC and some unknown sites(just like mine)  together. With social sites like twitter,orkut,facebook dissemination of breaking news was so fast that with in moments news blast out. This all paved way for the "Citizen Journalism" where news are not only "for the people" but also "by the people".

What went wrong with ISRO's GSLV D-3 rocket

Senior Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientists, who met at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram to examine the reasons for the failure of the GSLV-D3 mission with indigenous cryogenic upper stage, on Sunday ascertained that contrary to initial reports the cryogenic stage had doubtless ignited in the vacuum of the space...

ISRO to launch GSAT 4 with own cryogenic engine

India will soon launch an advanced communications satellite, put into orbit for the first time by a cryogenic engine developed by its own scientists.GSLV-D3 carrying GSAT-4 satellite is scheduled for launch on April 15, 2010 

Cryogenic engines are rocket motors designed for fuels that have to be held at very low temperatures to be liquid. They would otherwise be gas. Officials say that only five countries in the world have this technology...

ISRO to take up Space Tourism

You must be well aware of the "Incredible India" campaign - with tag "Athithi devo Bava" meaning Guest is equal to god. Treating guests with utmost obedience and respect is what all ancient Indian texts preach. Now some may have reservations whether Indians still cling to it - but this respect to Guests is what attracted many foreign travelers and behind them the invaders and behind them colonizers. Ofcourse thats all a big history. The point here ISRO may soon come up with "Incredible (or Astonishing) Space" campaign  I am not kidding - The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is known to be taking space tourism very seriously. With the new chief Dr K Radhakrishnan in position, the organization is exploring new strategies and technologies for low cost space tourism.

Hylas, the broad band satellite will be ready by august for delivery : ISRO

 The activities related to the realisation of Hylas satellite are progressing satisfactorily for delivery in August 2010 to the customer-  - said in a update dated 2nd April on ISRO's website. So the schedule launch of Hylas can be by the year end of 2010.

HYLAS,( Highly Adaptable Satellite) is the name of a small geostationary communications satellite planned for launch in 2010. HYLAS is being constructed by EADS Astrium for the UK telecommunications company Avanti Communications Plc.

Atlast after 63 years of Independence Indian Children get Right To Education

Better late than never - this is what we can say about the recently approved Right To Education bill. India got independence on 15th Aug, 1947 and today is 3rd april , 2010 means it took 63 years for our democratic politicians to introduce a bill which deserves to be the first bill of Independent India. Any how at least now a positive move has been made and it is highly commendable.

Trees still falling, deforestation continues at alarming rates

 Dude Why Not Plant a Tree on your birthday…..??

We all know about this climate change, global warming, melting glaciers, rising temperatures.. but is anything being done to stop it. May be we have just started , aren’t we? Basically the focus of this write up is about a report by United Nations’ FAO on deforestation  which says – “World deforestation decreases, but remains alarming in many countries”. FAO's Global Forest Resources Assessments are published every five years. More than 900 specialists from 178 countries were involved in the Global Forest Resources Assessment 2010. The full report of this Assessment will be released in October 2010.
