Now coming to the details. When we are going on a trip - purpose would be either to roam around or just be one place and relax. Our plan to munnar is to unwind , relax and roam to some extent. When it is to unwind, the place you are going to stay matters alot. Always habituated to staying in the rest houses provided by my employer, I stay very rarely in Hotels/resorts. So I always search on internet for long before choosing one. On our train to madurai from chennai, my only work was to search on Mobile for the best place to stay in munnar. So many sites ( i mean websites) - tripadvisor, booking.com, agoda , makemytrip .. list goes on. I spent lot of time reading the reviews, filtering by various options and finally arrived on the choice of Mount Club Resort, chinnakanal. 

What i read from all my research is , if you want to stay relaxed - it is better to stay away from munnar city center and stay ina place like chinnakanal. Munnar city center even though looks picturesque looks like any other town. The real flavour of munnar is far from the town center. Now coming back to my story , after hours of search - with fiiters of Ayruveda Spa, Swimming Pool and good rating on Booking.com took me to Mount Club Resort. The cost was around 7,500/- per night. Costly as per my standards, given the reviews , photographs and being the wedding anniversary I have gone for it. So costed 15,000/-.

Details

The Room

We have stayed in their double storey villa. It has Two Bed room with attached bath and one Hall. All the villas are like British Style and look royal. Some of the room snaps are below-

 Actually we have booked their single villa , but as they couldn't get the communication from the booking.com- they have upgraded us to double villa and we are very happy to stay and enjoy. The double storied villa is for two families but we are one and thoroughly enjoyed it. 

Facilities

 They have in-house restuarant and food is good , but if you order separately - it is expensive. If you are a foodie, take food inclusive package. They have inhouse swimming pool. Water quality is manegable. When myself and wife had a swim- the water is chilly. But swimming in chilly water is an experience itself. They do try to maintain the pool neat.

Ayurveda

They have an inhouse Ayurveda spa facility. We have availed the facility. Massage is good and relaxing. As we didn't had Ayurveda Spa earlier can't give clear comparision, but it is fine. It costed around 5,600/- for two with 15% discount.

Overall we really enjoyed the stay and it is value for money.
