Layman tips - How to Use Google Finance function in Google Spreadsheet to monitor your Equity Portfolio
One thing what this Pandemic had done is it encourage lot of Newbies into investing. My wife who is an housewife also wanted to try her luck in the Equities. One should have Demat account for trading - that is the basic pre-requisite. There are various demat providers like Zeroda, 5 paisa, Upstox etc. Once we make the Demat functional and charged it up with funds, then the real game starts. As we keep transacting, my wife felt a need to give a proper snapshot of the shares on hand and what was already sold out. The apps of demat do provide lot of data, but some how an excel of data will always look better and will help to grasp the data better.

My experience of a credit card fraud and why I don't like credit cards!!!
I have been using Axis card for more than five years when finally subjected to a fraud. The brief details are like this -
On 16th June2020, I received a call from a fraudster introducing herself as an Axis bank employee. She said I have some leftover credit points , which indeed as few days back I had checked that some credit points are leftover. She recited most of my credit card data and tricked me to reveal the OTPs. But two peculiar things - i received message for debit - i.e 40k amount debited to "Nobroker" and when I checked the same time on internet banking no transaction was shown. The fraudster convinced me that "Nobroker" means No broker and amount is debited by the bank for time being and hence it is not showing on internet banking. Finally I came out of the fraudster plan after 24 hours and then I blocked my credit card.

Oxford Study Says - a third of us have used dating websites
An Oxford University study suggests that nearly one in three of us who use the internet have visited online dating sites. An international survey of 24,000 men and women who are presently online found that just six per cent had gone to dating websites in 1997 but by 2009, 30 per cent of the sample had tried them with 15 per cent finding their current partner that way.
The Oxford Internet Institute (OII) conducted an online questionnaire with 12,000 couples from 18 countries, all of whom had regular access to the internet. They were asked a series of questions about whether they had visited dating websites, other online services and where else they might go looking for a partner. The questions related to the period 1997 to 2009.

Microsoft Shows Off Slate PC
As the heat is building up for Apple’s iSlate, a sudden change has been occurred in the atmosphere. And it comes from one the oldest buddy of Apple, Microsoft. Aiming to fend off competitors in a bid to expand Microsoft's consumer reach, CEO Steve Ballmer announced a new slate computer Wednesday night as he kicked off the annual International Consumer Electronics Show.
Essentially a laptop with no keyboard, the computer comes as rival Apple prepares to introduce a much-hyped tablet PC of its own later this month.
"We are talking about something as portable as a phone and as powerful as Windows 7," Ballmer said to an audience of more than 3,500 at the Las Vegas Hilton Center. "And they are perfect for reading, for surfing the Web and for taking entertainment on the go."
