2010 CommonWealth Games Opening Ceremony - What a Show - Mind Blasting I Say!!!
DELHI: One could almost run out of words to describe the Opening Ceremony of the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi.
Minutes after the dignitaries arrived at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the 60,000 attendees at the Opening Ceremony stood at attention for the National Anthem of India. A countdown took place to the tunes of Nagada drummers for the ceremonies to begin. It kicked off by the rising of the aerostat by snake charmers and a spectacular display of lights. Several rounds of fireworks lit the skies of Delhi and raised a huge applause from the stadium...

Payload for Chandrayaan-2 finalized - Will try out new Ideas
After a successful Chandrayaan I mission ISRO is now all geared up for Chandrayaan II. India's first lunar mission Chandrayaan-1 had accomplished nearly 95 per cent of its scientific objectives and is considered a success internationally. It's on board NASA instrument made a buzz by confirming the presence of water/ice on Moon.
The Chandrayaan mission II is targeted in 2013. ISRO recently finalised the payloads that are to be flown onboard Chandrayaan II . Chandrayaan 2 will have an orbiter (satellite), a lander and a rover. Chandrayaan-2 is planned to be launched onboard Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. While the lander will be provided by Russia, the orbiter and the rover are being built by ISRO....

Brahmos test fired in Steep Dive Mode - Creates a Record
In a major victory for the army, an advanced version of BrahMos block-II was successfully tested from the integrated test range at Chandipur off Orissa coast on 5th September(sunday) .. The highlight of the mission was the missile performing a steep dive at a supersonic speed.This is the first time in the world that a supersonic steep dive manoeuvre has been realised by a cruise missile said the military sources .
